Building Bridges Slowly Falling is the second poetry collection of poems by Limerick based poet Christy O’Donnell and the launch takes place Wed 22nd Feb at Brendan O’Brien’s Bar, Roches Street, Limerick at 8.00pm. O’Donnell’s poems have been described as poetically forceful, encompassing a vivid history of growing up in the sixties in Ireland…often enriched with original and striking humour.
The book is published by Revival Press as part of the Limerick Writers’ Centre’s Community Publishing initiative and will be launched by Bertha McCullagh. All are welcome to attend.
Christy O’Donnell was born in Limerick. His previous collection From Gloves to Pen was published by Clo Dunaire/ Irish & Celtic Publications in 2013. He edited Poetic Humour, an anthology of humourous poetry, which raised over €2,000 for charity in 2012. His work has appeared in various publications in Ireland, UK and America and he has read his work widely throughout Ireland. He also keeps a Blog dedicated to humourous poetry and is an active user of social media with Facebook, YouTube and Twitter accounts.
